If you already have a few SS Rolex models like Explorer 2, 2018 Pepsi, 2018 . Rolex is more robust, more waterproof, cheaper to service, and a lower cost . Hey all as per the title, if you could have one Rolex in precious metal as your only one and done (within budget) - which would it be and why? (Note: pretend the world is a safe place so no worries wearing anywhere) PM Rolex and budget are not often found in the same sentence. The answer is DayDate. __________________.

I like pm /two tone watches which are made better because of the pm. Example - bluesy submariner. The gold/blue combo is so much nicer than if it were just steel/blue. It seems nowadays, PM Rolexes cost as much as watches from the holy trinity or Lange or even boutique brands like Journe or Gronefeld. Do you think they’re overpriced? Would you take a PM Rolex over a Patek or Journe at the same price ? The day-date might be a little harder than a sub (especially Cookie Monster), but some PM models like the full gold root beer or the blue dial rose gold Sky Dweller might not be available for a while.
