Have a 6.75" wrist, and the 44mm Luminar (PAM01033) looks great! In fact it better 'fills out' my very thin wrists, thus my 'arm visual' look more, ummm, 'normal' instead of girly-thin. Agree with others, please find a way to try one on and see for yourself is your best bet. The size guide is helpful, but this photoseries also shows how important it is for a watch to have a balanzed bezel/dial width, relative to the arm. E.g. the timex - the case vs. dial is almost perfect for the wrist. Same for the Panerai.Looks good! Panerai watches are some of the few watches that look good, large. What's your wrist size? P.S. I normally wear 37-39 mm watches and prefer small watches, however I enjoy my 44 mm Panerai on my 18 cm / 7 inch wrist. Yes is the answer, 44mm on a 7" wrist is unlikely to be a problem unless your wrist is very rounded, 'flat topped' will allow it to wear more comfortably.
