Davey2024. Can anyone please give me some thoughts on the dial on this 1675? According to the sn it should be a mark 2, and the wide gap between the O and L look.
While the bezel and bezel insert are genuine Rolex parts, the black insert is from the 1980s, therefore, while genuine, it would be considered a service replacement part for the OPs GMT 1675 which appears to have several service parts. If these four parts are not in sync and fit properly, bezels can become too loose causing the bezel to fall off or the bezel might become too tight causing excessive friction on the bezel assembly to the extent that it will not turn properly.

I like the 1675 gilt dials and the 1675 radial dial. Otherwise I prefer the 16750 matte over the matte 1675. The main visual difference between the two is the hand stack positions of the GMT, Hour, Minute, and Seconds hands.The 1675 bezel is bi-directional and rotates on a spring-based system. There is a flat shaped piece of metal (the tension spring) that sits under the bezel and holds the bezel/insert in place until the user places pressure down on the bezel to rotate. Featuring a two-tone case and bracelet — stainless steel and 18K gold — and a brown dial with a brown bezel insert (hence, “Root Beer”), the 1675/3 has a unique look. For many, it’s a “love it or hate it” kind of thing.
Both models had matte dials, red and blue "Pepsi" bezel inserts or black inserts available later during the 1970s. As far as value goes, nice examples are in the mid-teens or higher - in U.S. dollars.
