I never loved the tassel detail on the Mini Lou because it makes the bag heavier than it already is, and more cumbersome as it can get tangled with the chain strap. If you want something that you can throw around without getting any marks or damage, then the YSL is probably a . YSL Lou Mini is smaller but enough for everyday items like lippie, wet wipes, keys, SLG etc. i like caviar looking leather and the Lou Mini feels more shell-like so it def holds its shape well. A couple of things to consider: 1) The black and gold has a high contrast with a very visible YSL logo. The beige and gold has a much lower contrast, with the YSL logo looking more inconspicuous and more subtle. From a distance I probably could see the gold YSL logo easily against black but not as much against beige.
It holds so much and it very versatile. I’m also a hardware gal which prioritized this over the soho for me. Also ysl is much roomier compared to marmont. I always bring my small canon camera around so that was important so hold along with large iPhone, makeup, etc.
