Missing tritium would not be the color of the dark spot observed in your photos - instead, it would be white. I will confirm this in person next week when I see the watch. The seller said the hole lacked material (i.e. tritium) and not something stuck on the index. But I can't get a relume or a service dial for my '79 Tudor Submariner from the folks at Rolex, and I really don't trust anybody else (that I've come across anyway). there are shops like IWW who will relume the dial/hands with excellent results.
