Just curious if anyone out there has the recommended winder settings for the new 3235 movement in the SD43? I just keep seeing numbers of 650 bidirectional for the majority of movements but can’t find anything for this one. Thanks in advance!
With Rolex’s 5-year warranty, it only made sense to have it fixed. The AD suggested that it be cleaned and suspected there may be a foreign body causing an issue. Regardless, the AD took it upon themselves to do a full service of the movement. I recently read about issues with the 3235 movement and now I'm a bit nervous about this purchase since, as I mentioned, I plan on using this everyday for many years to come. My question is - how widespread is this issue and does .
Based on my pristine experience with the 3135 and satisfactory experience with the 3235 (even if hit and miss), I trust Rolex and I have no doubt the source of the problem can be found and addressed, eventually.The Rolex Caliber 3235. The Rolex Caliber 3235 was officially released at Baselworld 2015 and was first introduced inside the 39mm Pearlmaster. Since then, the movement is actively used in all of Rolex’s date variant watches, seeing that it is Rolex’s go-to movement.

The Rolex caliber 3235 is in in-house automatic movement that was originally announced at Baselworld 2017. This caliber contains technology that is protected by 14 patents acquired by “The Crown”. The 3230 & 3235 Movements. Rolex mechanical movements are absolute works of art, and the latest Submariner 41MM Reference 124060 (pictured above) features the Caliber 3230 automatic mechanical movement (Pictured below) as well as the 3235 movement for the Submariner DATE model. Cal. 3235 is the current mainstream date movement from Rolex. Part of the updated Chronergy family, it features 3-day power reserve and many new components. Cal. 3235 first appeared in late 2015 in the Pearlmaster 39 and in 2016 in the Datejust 41 and has since spread to the Sea-Dweller Deepsea, Datejust 36, Yacht-Master 42, and Yacht-Master 40.
The SD43 utilizes Rolex's updated 3235 movement that boasts 14 new patents and a 90% redesign from its 3135 predecessor including the Chronergy escapement and 70 hour power reserve complete with a +2/-2 Rolex timing certification.
